Sandalwood, splintered

Santalum Album is an evergreen tree, growing in Mysore State. Only the core of the wood is used for incense burning. Sandalwood provides the raw material for production of most valuable Sandalwood oil and also for the artistic creation of aromatic, finely handcrafted carvings.
