Herbs and woods, which are associated with the nine planets, are said to counteract negative planetary influences, to disperse conflicts, and to attract luck. The leaves of the Pipal Tree, for example, are a part of this incense mixture. The Pipal Tree is a holy tree, considered as a bridge between heaven and earth, and thus connects the visible with the invisible worlds.
