Rudrakshas
are the seeds from the elaeocarpus ganitrus tree, which is widely
spread in Asia. According to legend, they are a gift from God Shiva for
the benefit of mankind. These seeds are considered to be highly
efficient manifestations of the cosmic powers. Consequently, they shall
be powerful sources for merging with the Higher Self, as they represent
the connection between heaven and earth.
For thousands of years,
Rudrakshas have been worn by followers of the Santanta-Dharma ("eternal
alignment") as a symbol of their commitment with the cosmic system.
Indian yogis let themselves accompany by Rudrakshas on their way to enlightenment and salvation.
Annotation: Sizes and weights of these pieces of jewelry can vary according to the sizes of the seeds.
